Highlights

2003

Glenlea Park sold "GP 601" for the Classings Classic top price of $6,400 to a syndicate between Ray Schroeder, Gunallo and Brian Sharrock, Hamilton Breeding Services.  This ram has gone on to produce consistently good progeny and is still influencing the industry today.

2005

Once again at the Classings Classic Ram Sale, Glenlea Park sold "GP pink 401", affectionately named 'George', to Angus McLachlan, Rosebank, for $7,000.

2007

Glenlea Park's highlight was obviously the sale of "GP 613" for $11,000 to the Superior Wool Syndicate.  This was the top price paid at the Classings Classic Ram Sale.  The ram created a lot of interest due to his scale and purity combined with his free growing crimpy wool.  Glenlea Park used this ram in their 2007 AI program and has some outstanding sons for sale in 2009.

Rams were also sold for the first time at the Adelaide Ram Sale with 5 offered and sold, 3 of these selling to other studs.

2008

"GP 706" sold to Angus McLachlan, Rosebank, for $7,000This year was filled with many highlights. Obviously the sale of "Olympic" for the 2008 Australian record price of $39,000 was the ultimate.  Olympic was purchased by the Superior Wool Syndicate, who have semen for sale.  He was used by Glenlea Park in the 2008 AI program and his progeny look impressive.

Another highlight for the year was the sale of a full brother of Olympic, "GP Pink 706"(pictured on left).  Angus McLachlan, Rosebank, was the successful purchaser.  There were many comparisons made between 706 and Olympic, with many good judges believing there was very little between them.

Topping off a great Classings ram sale for Glenlea Park was the sale of "GP yellow 701", also for $7,000, to Greg Hose and Scott Nicholson, Sohnic Merinos.  This ram had superbly crimped wool with lustre and a super silky skin.  We will watch with great interest his progeny at Sohnic.

Our sale at Adelaide saw our lead ram "GP Pink 701" sell for $5,000 to a syndicate between Graham Wells, One Oak, NSW and Rob Norrish, Angenup, WA.  Ian Marwedel, sheep classer,  purchased the ram on behalf of the syndicate.  Graham Wells has used the ram in an ET program.  701 was recently spotted in the Genstock marquee at the Hamilton Sheepvention where he was being displayed as a semen sire.  He looked extraordinary.  Click on the photo below to see how he looks 1 year on.

Our first offering at the Hamilton Sheepvention saw a great result, with 5 rams offered and sold.  A ram very highly regarded at Glenlea Park and also by the general public at Hamilton sold for $3,200 to Peter Gilbertson, Lameroo.
